Addition and Subtraction in Capacity
(i) Add 6 l 700 ml and 12 l 800 ml.
\( 700 ml + 800 ml = 1500 ml \)
\( 1500 ml = 1 l 500 ml \)
Find the difference
(i) 15 l 500 ml − 6 l 300 ml
Difference = 9 l 1200 ml
(ii) 36 l 400 ml − 12 l 550 ml
36 l 400 ml – 12 l 550 ml = 23 l 850 ml
(1) 4 l 300 ml + 6 l 700 ml = 11 l 000 ml
(2) 7 l 250 ml + 2 l 300 ml = 9 l 550 ml
(3) 5 l 500 ml − 4 l 450 ml = 1 l 050 ml
(4) 46 l 300 ml − 12 l 550 ml = 33 l 750 ml
